TiE International Startup Competition

The TiE International Startup Competition is a 2 track competition in which teams can choose either the Rice University Track or the Investor Track. Those who choose the Rice Track must meet additional eligibility requirements including having at least two student team members on their team, one a graduate level student.

Chapters produce 2-4 winning teams from local business plan competition.A Minimum of 1 team for the Rice Track, Excluding US Chapters and 1-3 teams for the Investor Track.
Winning teams from each participating chapter compete at a Regional Final either in front of the Investor Panel or Rice Judging Panel.

Winners of TISC Asia Regionals will receive the following benefits and awards 

Investor Track:

The Winning team from TISC Asia is awarded the following :

1. A Free trip to Silicon Valley, USA

2. All expenses paid (flights, hotel, meals)

3. Opportunity to attend TiEcon – the largest entrepreneurship conference in the world, held in Silicon Valley

4. Two persons in the winning team will receive the benefits

5. $ 1,000 Spending money for the Winning team

6. Attend a 1 day Power Boot camp hosted by TiE Silicon Valley

7. Can showcase startup at Expo Booth at TiEcon

8. Exposure to TiE Angels and venture capitalists 

Rice Track:

The Winning team of Rice Track is awarded the following :

1. A Free round-trip to Houston , Texas, USA

2. All expenses paid (flights, hotel, meals)

3. Two persons in the winning team will receive the benefits

4. $ 1,000 Spending money for the Winning team

5. Opportunity to participate in Rice University Business Plan Competition, the largest and richest college-level student B-Plan Competition in the world

6. Over $1.5 million in cash and investment is awarded at Rice University each year

7. Attend a 3 day Bootcamp hosted by TiE Houston
