INDIA’S FIRST AWARD FOR DESIGN-LED ENTREPRENEURSHIP BY TiE and QGLUE

New Delhi: TiE Delhi – NCR and QGLUE (the design venture of QAI) announce awards that recognize entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ventures driven by Design. The first of its kind in the country.

Entrepreneurial ventures that are driven and led by design, with a special attention to the “human-centred” approach to shaping business are the need of the hour, in this experience economy. With so many great ideas, what makes a venture succeed is the undertaking of a venture journey that has empathy at the core of all its processes, balances business imperatives with technological feasibility, along with human needs and desires. Ultimately, impacting people.

21% of the global “unicorn” start-ups across all sectors have co-founders who have embraced design or come from a design, arts or human centered background including architecture, design, music visualization, fine arts, media arts.

To acknowledge, appreciate and reward start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures that are led by design, QGLUE and TiE Delhi-NCR announce the “Design-led Entrepreneurship Awards”.

The Jury, comprising eminent thought leaders and practitioners drawn from academia, industry and the design fraternity, will judge all entries based on the following:

1. How human-centred design played a role in the entrepreneurial roadmap.
2. How empathy mode is exemplary in the development of activities.
3. How the company proposes a transformation which favours the human situation.

The selected candidates will then pitch their ideas at TiEcon Delhi 2017 event, in December, and the winners will be recognised at the conference and their work will be highlighted and rewarded at the event. Further, design mentoring from acclaimed Mentors would be given post the event to the winners.
